I am the girl in the checkered shirt. I woke up to a quiet apartment at 07:00am this morning, took a long, hearty bath (the 1st stop after my bed), had a cup of tea while listening to the radio. It plays loudly in the mornings because although I prefer silence most times, I need the noise to help ‘wake me further’. Around the house I’m wrapped up in a grey juicy towel, while I make my face up and tie my hair in a big, bouncy ponytail.
I’m always methodical in how I select my outfits but this morning I was lazy and because it’s a Friday, I kept it quite casual. I put on this shirt which I picked out of my mother’s wardrobe when I was visiting her last week and balanced it with skinny black denims and chocolate knee-high flat boots.
Whatever happens throughout the day, even in this slouchy over-sized shirt, rest assured I carry myself with the most confidence, as should you, whatever you’re in today, tomorrow and the next day.
